Bluster Bhoy

Irish Rock with Heart, Grit & Melody

Welcome to the official home of Bluster Bhoy.

Bluster Bhoy is a rock artist blending classic rock, punk attitude, alternative edge, and pop sensibilities into energetic songs driven by catchy hooks and honest storytelling.

Originally from Dublin, Ireland, and now based in the Midlands, Bluster Bhoy writes, records, and produces original music that captures the humour, chaos, vulnerability, and emotion of modern life and love.

Having played in several original bands over the years — including Firstborn, Long Live Me, and Chiral Labs — Bluster Bhoy continues to evolve his sound while staying true to his independent DIY roots.

A new creative chapter began with recording sessions at Red Lake Studios in Portlaoise, Co. Laois. The first release from these sessions, “Lost & Found” (December 2024), delivered a punchy two-minute burst of energy that set the tone for what followed.

This was followed by “Complicated Thing Called Love” (April 2025), a melodic reflection on the complexities of modern relationships.

In November 2025, Bluster Bhoy released “All This Love”, a heartfelt anthem about what truly matters when everything else fades away.

His latest single, “Waiting Alone” (March 20, 2026), explores the tension between dreamers and realists — capturing the quiet moments of reflection when identity, doubt, and possibility collide.

With wit, warmth, and anthemic rock energy inspired by artists like Foo Fighters, Kings of Leon, and Queens of the Stone Age, Bluster Bhoy continues carving his own path in the Irish indie rock scene.

One honest song at a time.

Bluster Bhoy's national radio debut

Grass roots artist of the week.

Bluster Bhoy was selected as the Grass Roots Artist of the Week on 2FM’s New Music Show with Beta Da Silva.

It’s a huge honour and marks my official radio debut following the release of “All This Love.”
“I’ve listened to 2FM most of my life, and finally getting one of my own tracks featured was incredible. It was genuinely one of my all-time favourite moments—as a musician. Very cool indeed.”

I’m hoping to replicate this milestone in the new year with my next release.

2026 is shaping up to be my busiest year yet!

Bluster Bhoy's laois live interview

bluster bhoy in good company

Hannah Cahill of the Leinster Express / Laois live writes, "This latest track to hit Laois' music scene combines introspective and passionate lyrics with soulful indie rock.

'All This Love' by Portarlington man Alan Tierney, A.K.A. Bluster Bhoy, has influences of yearning vocals from Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody, with a smooth and emotional buildup into a catchy rock crescendo".

Many thanks to Hannah Cahill for taking the time to write a great piece for my new Single 'All this love'.

interview with rte's - Alan corr

How would you describe your music?

"I am a rock guy, really. Guitar music moves me, but my latest song, All This Love, is a bit more mellow, a more real life vibe, there is definitely an influence of The Beatles and maybe Sting and The Police in there too. I would describe it as blending catchy hooks with storytelling. Because I like all kinds of music you never know what you will find in there".
